Description

Cover illustration taken from Koons’ Art Magazine Ads.

Jeff Koons is an American artist who rose to prominence in the mid-1980s alongside a generation of artists who explored the meaning of art in a media-saturated era and the attendant crisis of representation. With his stated artistic intention to “communicate to the masses,” Koons creates works dealing with popular culture and sculptures depicting everyday objects. Testing the limits between popular and elite culture, he draws from the visual language of advertising, marketing, and the entertainment industry.

Soiling, scratches, slight dents to front and back cover.
