Neosim was a cultural movement that grew out of the 1970s mail art network and was influenced by Dada, Futurism, Fluxus and Punk.

Monty Cantsin is a multiple-use name that anyone can adopt. The name has close ties to Neoism. It was originally conceived as an "open pop star." with the idea that anyone could perform in Cantsin's name and thus contribute to and participate in his fame and achievements.
