The Money For Food Press was founded by Geoffrey Hendricks and his partner Brian Buczak. Created to expand their artistic practices rooted in Fluxus and Ray Johnson's New York Correspondence School, The Money For Food Press produced and distributed dozens of publications from 1977 to 1987. Encouraging a breakdown of boundaries separating art and life, The Money For Food Press publications, “…exist as paradigms for our own imaginative processes rather than (at least primarily) investment commodities. Buy them and live well – keep them in your own private treasure chest, to be fished out and shown only to those with whom you share your own private elegances.”_________Dick Higgins , 1980, Introduction, The Money For Food Press
