Celender also created two packs of playing cards with juxtapositions of artists and sports players. Both titled ArtBall, one pack centered on baseball and the other, centered on football.
Don Celender was an art professor and conceptual artist who championed accessibility and humor in an artistic practice often considered as being overly intellectual. He was represented by OK Harris Gallery and taught at Macalester College in St. Paul.
