This is a collaborative piece by Christopher Wool with Felix Gonzalez-Torres. The print itself is by Christopher Wool and was originally created for an exhibition at Printed Matter, New York. It was made available in an unknown edition size and then stacked by Felix Gonzales-Torres as a free take-away for visitors. The artwork on the poster is of an untitled 108” x 72” Wool painting from 1990, Dallas Museum of Art. The typography is sourced from Russian writer and philosopher Vasili Rozanov’s definition of Nihilism.
